We specifically chose them because of their focus on privacy.
Enabling complete privacy across the board is one of the key items missing for stablecoin P2P payments to reach mass adoption. Finding solutions to make your transfer history completely private is now one of our key focuses. We’re fans of Canton because their chain has a very different take on privacy than others, which we prefer.
For example, other chains obfuscate privacy everywhere end-to-end. This does not work well for institutional needs.
On Canton, the data is available for those who need to know.
- Banks can have access to the transaction details of their customers (very important). They can also share this information with each other to flag frauds.
- Regulators have access to a compliant ready audit trail.
What is great is that Canton is uncomplicated.
